The 2016 Toyota Previa, also known by different names in different markets, comes as a sharp-looking new minivan, or multi-purpose vehicle as some call it, which will be an excellent option for businesses and families when it comes to moving around things and people. The Previa series received its last major overhaul quite a few years ago (2006) and it is now high time for an overhaul.
Exterior and Interior
First off, the new Previa will feature a more aggressive design with a restyled front fascia offering a new grille shape, modified headlights with LED daytime running lights, sculpted bumper and fog lamps.
In line with this new look for the Previa, there will be available new styled wheels, side mirrors and a modified rear end with new thinner taillights, a rear diffuser and a lip spoiler.
We can also expect a sunroof and a wide color range to choose from. The wheelbase will be slightly extended to provide a wider profile, meaning more space inside, while the horizontal slats on the grille will reinforce the sporty design and improve the aerodynamics of the minivan.
The cabin of the 2016 Toyota Previa will be able to easily accommodate five passengers with plenty of head and legroom on all seats, which will be retractable and easily maneuverable, as well as covered in quality upholstery.
The dashboard will be reminiscent of a planes cockpit with an intuitive infotainment featuring standard navigation and safety systems, pushbutton ignition, moon roof, plus Bluetooth and audio connectivity.
2016 Toyota Previa Powertrain
The 2016 Toyota Previa will be powered by a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine coupled to a five speed transmission. It will be available in both two and four wheel drive options and will be exceedingly fuel friendly – rumor has it will be able to run upwards of 20km on one liter of gas.
The new Toyota Previa will also be available in a hybrid trim, and will feature, alongside the standard 2.4 liter engine, two electromotors under the hood with 13 kw to the front wheel unit and 18 kw to the rear wheel unit delivering a total of 200 horsepower, which is pretty good for a hybrid minivan.
